Britain’s most popular EVER 50p – and how you can WIN one…
29 February 2016 – the release date of the Peter Rabbit 50p – will go down in the record books as one of the most remarkable days in coin collecting history.
Because in just a few days all 15,000 coloured Silver Proof Peter Rabbit 50ps had SOLD OUT – making it the fastest selling and most popular Silver UK 50p coin EVER.
And they could have sold more – thousands of collectors were left disappointed. Nowadays, on the rare occasion a coin comes up for sale, it will go for around £400 on Ebay. Not a bad return for a coin that originally cost £55!

Would love this for my 2 year old girl what a beautiful coin ??good luck peeps
I would love to win this. It would go with the rest of my collection.fingers crossed
These need to go out for sale again. genuine collectors did not get much opportunity to purchase due to greedy people wanting to buy and sell on for profit. Would buy these in a heartbeat.
I agree wholeheartedly with that Emma. They had sold out of the silver Beatrix Potter coins before I even received an email saying they were on sale. The Mint should limit how many a person can buy at a time so that other collectors can get a look-in.
Would love to win this for my Son ???
I would love this for my sweet and funny little greatgrandughter.
Good luck everyone xx
This would complete my collection. I would love it.
Would love this for my grandson, and to give. It to him on his christening .
I love Beatrix Potter characters especially Peter Rabbit,a dear friend of mine had the whole collection of them,I was so jealous.I also have a love of rabbits and have kept them for years I live where there is a lot of wildlife.
My late mother collected coins, what a great start this beautiful coin would be for me to carry on the legacy. Good luck to everyone xx
