The 2016 Peter Rabbit Silver Proof Coloured 50p Coin

29 February 2016 – the release date of the Peter Rabbit 50p – will go down in the record books as one of the most remarkable days in coin collecting history.

Because in just a few days all 15,000 coloured Silver Proof Peter Rabbit 50ps had SOLD OUT – making it the fastest selling and most popular Silver UK 50p coin EVER.

And they could have sold more – thousands of collectors were left disappointed. Nowadays, on the rare occasion a coin comes up for sale, it will go for around £400 on Ebay. Not a bad return for a coin that originally cost £55!

I have been collecting coins for many years now. They’re being left in my will for my youngest Grandson to inherit. I also have the full collection of Beatrix Potter books in their little suitcases. If I was to win this wonderful coin. It would be the icing on the cake for my wonderful Grandson.

I have been collecting coins for my children and for years now. Winning this coin would be an amazing addition to their inheritance. They love the idea of coin collecting and they already love all the Peter Rabbit coins they have seen. We all have our fingers crossed.

Yes I’m the same as most people I collect because I enjoy it but the coins are for my grandchildren we spend many hours looking through the coins they especially like the old money that grandad used to spend, so yes I would love to be the one who received this wonderful prize.
